The GasanMamo Point 2 Point Challenge – Endurance for a Cause

The Point 2 Point Challenge embodies these very values — pushing beyond limits not just for personal achievement, but to bring hope and support to those who need it most. That is why we are proud to stand alongside Daniel Abela, Douglas Barbaro Sant, and Joseph Casha on this extraordinary journey, as they take on an endurance challenge dedicated to raising funds for Hospice Malta and the Children in Need Foundation.

A Journey of Endurance and Friendship

On 27th September 2025, the trio will embark on the GasanMamo Point 2 Point Challenge, an extraordinary endurance event across Malta and Gozo. The challenge spans 81km – beginning with a 15km run across Gozo, followed by a 6km open-water swim to Malta, and concluding with a 60km coastal cycle down to Birżebbuġa. To honour the cause, the finish will include a symbolic ride to Hospice Malta headquarters in Santa Venera.

Co-founder Daniel Abela explains:
“We want to use our strength and friendship to bring hope, dignity, and opportunities to those who need them most. Extreme endurance challenges inspire communities and remind us of the power of unity for a bigger cause.”

Supporting Two Worthy Causes

The Point 2 Point Challenge raises funds for:

• Hospice Malta – providing free holistic palliative care to more than 1,560 families annually, supporting patients with illnesses such as cancer, ALS, multiple sclerosis, and end-stage organ diseases. Services include medical care, emotional and spiritual support, and provision of essential equipment.
• Children in Need Foundation – improving the lives of vulnerable and disadvantaged children in Malta, with a focus on mental well-being and children in care homes. To date, the Foundation has raised over €1 million, funding therapy, education, autism learning centres, safe spaces for homeless youth, and the K.I.D.S. Haven project at YMCA.
