A new year
A new year means the publication and launching of the GasanMamo Insurance calendar
which is much awaited by employees and clients and this year is no different. The theme of
the 2018 calendar is in line with Malta’s national celebrations of Valletta 2018 since this
year, our beloved capital city is celebrating the prestigious award for being Europe’s Capital
City of Culture.
The history
“Every year we invest a lot of our energy to issue a creative, imaginative and unusual
calendar that offers that extra added value to our customers. 2018 is a special year for Malta
and for Valletta and we chose to celebrate this European title by featuring modern day
photographs of Valletta, with superimposed period watercolour etchings of times gone by.
Our capital city is steeped in history with stories to tell on every corner. The GasanMamo
calendar is a reminder of how different Valletta was in times gone by, yet still very present
today, from its old palazzos, theatre and cathedral to its new gate, parliament building and
theatre,” said Mark Mamo, General Manager at GasanMamo Insurance
Our past and present
All photos which were featured in this calendar were taken by Rene Rossignaud, etchings by
Rebecca Bonaci and design of calendar by Martina Caruana from MPS. Mr Mamo added
that “with our past and present interpretation and understanding of Valletta as our capital city,
GasanMamo looks ahead to the new year with positivity and enthusiasm, while wishing all
our customers a successful and happy 2018.”
