Manager Commercial Underwriting

GasanMamo is a leading Insurer in Malta, that is dedicated to excellence and high standards.  We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a Manager within our Commercial Underwriting department.

• Utilise your experience to underwrite, negotiate, and secure business on corporate risks.
• Manage and service a diverse portfolio of clients’ accounts, fostering strong relationships, and delivering exceptional service.
• Drive innovation by spearheading the development of new products and enhancing existing offerings to meet evolving market needs.
• Monitor adherence to appropriate underwriting standards.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the underwriting team.

Applicants are to have the following minimum skills and qualifications:

• Minimum five years of experience within a commercial underwriting department, demonstrating technical expertise and a deep understanding of industry best practices and trends.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Possession of the Associateship of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) qualification and/or an Insurance Related University degree at MQF level 6 or higher
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A collaborative approach and the ability to build strong relationships.
