Information Security Analyst

As an Information Security Analyst, you will be instrumental in fortifying our organisation’s defences against cyber threats. Your role involves analysing, mitigating, and proactively addressing security risks to protect our sensitive data, networks, and systems.

• Threat Detection and Analysis: Monitor, analyse, and respond to security incidents and breaches.
• Security Systems Management: Administer and maintain security tools, ensuring the latest updates and user access management.
• Risk Assessment: Conduct assessments and vulnerability testing, providing recommendations for risk mitigation.
• Security Policies and Procedures: Assist in creating and enforcing security policies, educating employees, and ensuring compliance.
• Incident Response: Contribute to developing incident response plans and assist during security breaches.
• Security Awareness Training: Organise and conduct training sessions, keeping stakeholders informed about current threats.
• Audits, Testing, and Compliance: Prepare for and participate in security audits, penetration testing exercises, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the IT team to effectively communicate any security related issues that arise.
• Reporting: Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the Company’s information security framework.

Applicants are to have the following minimum skills and qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Professional certifications (CompTIA Security+, CC, CEH, or equivalent) are advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of security technologies and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Meticulous attention to detail and dedication to data protection.
